The selected plants shown below are saved over winter then grown for their second year in the greenhouse. Several blooms show bruising this because they were damaged with wind and rain whilst growing outside at my plot in the village, the plants are lifted during September, October and November weather permitting. Frost has in the past damaged the plot as early as first week in September cutting short the window for selection.
